Metro

The new Metro of Palma de Mallorca was inaugurated on 25th April. The metro line starts off at the main station located at the Plaça d'Espanya (this being the main point of connection of suburban trains and intercity bus lines) and covers a distance of 7.2 km. until reaching the Campus of the University of the Balearic Islands. Along its route, the metro connects different suburbs, the Son Castelló industrial estate as well as the centre of Son Sardina. The train travels at a commercial speed of 40 km/h, reaches a maximum, authorised speed of 100 km/h and takes 13 minutes to cover the distance.

Frequency and schedule:

Every 15 minutes 

The first journey leaves the main station at 6:30 hours.
