Sant Felip Neri

The Gothic church, that was built in the XIIIth century was replaced by a baroque temple, built in 1618 and subsequently refurbished in the year 1859. The church has a single nave with four rectangular lateral chapels and trapezoidal apse. The chapels have a cross pointed ceiling. The nave is decorated with a vault ceiling and the apse ceiling is built in the form of a truncated cone and ornamented with pictorial decorations. The altarpiece is decorated with an image of the Virgin of Immaculate Conception and Saint Felipe Neri. The unique Virgin of Pain chapel (Virgen de los dolores) within the temple is worth mentioning at this point; this chapel, built in the XVIth century, has an octagonal floor, small lateral chapels and an ambulatory.
